About DIET
The Department of Information Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications (DIET) of Sapienza University of Rome conducts research and educates students in the fields of Electronics, Electromagnetics and Communications Engineering. Research focuses on information and communication technologies and addresses different areas within, including, but no limited to, radar, information theory, circuits and systems, communication systems and networks, signal processing, electronics, electromagnetics, electrical measurements, and mathematical physics. The richness in the DIET research framework has a tremendous impact on the variety of the teaching offer, that consists in B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs covering the above scentific fields, with courses held in Italian as well as in English.
DIET is located in the historical site of the Engineering school of Sapienza University of Rome, close to the “S. Pietro in Vincoli” church and to the world-known UNESCO heritage ancient roman circus called Colosseum, “Colosseo” in Italian. The nickname of the historical site of the Engineering school is “S. Pietro in Vincoli”, as the church nearby.
